Position Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Legal Biller to handle our client's billing processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Legal Biller, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing legal billing statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to clients based on attorney time entries and expenses.
- Review and verify billing entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Handle adjustments and corrections to billing records as necessary.
- Communicate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain and update billing records and documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports related to billing activities.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate s or bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a legal biller or in a similar billing role within a law firm.
- Proficiency with legal billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of billing procedures and legal terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
