What you'll be doing at Autism Care Partners:

Are you a Special Education Teacher committed to improving the lives of children on the autism spectrum? Then come and join the clinical team at ACP Early Intervention. The Head Classroom Teacher will design, plan, and implement individualized educational and behavioral services for children in the NYS Early Intervention Program, using evidence - based strategies and the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

ABA experience is a plus (if not will train)

Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum a plus.

Direct Clinical:

The classroom teacher delivers ABA instruction to students with the support of 1-1 aides.

Conduct initial and/or post intervention assessments for every student.

Create developmentally appropriate goals and programs

Classroom Management:

Ensures 1:1 coverage for every student

Assigns monthly classroom duties to 1-1 aides.

Ensures that classrooms are clean, materials are organized, and learning sections are labeled accordingly.

Records daily attendance for each student across all sessions

Collaborates with Site Coordinator to manage 1-1 aides work schedules and attendance

Conducts/documents bi-weekly staff meetings with CBA's

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in education Special Education/Early ( Childhood - Student with Disabilities - Birth to Grade 2)

Certification: NYS Certified in Students with Disabilities, Birth - 2nd Grade OR Special Education Permanent

In compliance with EI regulations, the classroom teacher will complete all required documentation of each students' progress and development (EI session notes, quarterly reports, justification letters, and child outcome summary exit forms). The Head Classroom Teacher will provide ongoing clinical support to Center-based Aides as part of the organization's supervision model, to promote professional development and ensure quality of services.
