Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments: Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, including their medical history, movement abilities, and functional limitations, to establish a baseline for treatment planning.


  • Develop personalized treatment plans: Utilize a comprehensive understanding of patients' conditions, assessment findings, and input from the interdisciplinary team to create individualized plans that address patients' specific needs and goals.


  • Administer occupational therapy interventions: Implement appropriate physical therapy techniques, exercises, modalities, and interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, flexibility, and overall functional abilities. Ensure treatments align with the goals established in the treatment plan.


  • Monitor and document progress: Regularly assess and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment notes and progress reports.


  • Collaborate with the healthcare team: Engage in effective communication and collaboration with chiropractors, physical therapists, medical doctors, and acupuncturists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Share insights, discuss treatment strategies, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings to optimize patient outcomes.


  • Educate patients and families: Provide patients and their families with education regarding their condition, treatment goals, and home exercises. Instruct patients on proper techniques for exercises and offer guidance on injury prevention strategies to enhance long-term recovery and well-being.


  • Stay updated on advancements: Stay abreast of advancements in the field of physical therapy and relevant research literature. Continuously expand clinical knowledge and skills through professional development activities such as attending conferences, workshops, and seminars.


  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards: Uphold ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting patients' rights and autonomy. Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.


  • Patient-centered approach: Embrace a patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and respect for each patient's unique circumstances. Foster a therapeutic relationship, actively listen to patient's concerns, and address their physical and emotional needs.



Skills and Qualifications


  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid NJ state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • CPR certification
  • No experience necessary
