About the position:


We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, self-driven individual to join our supply chain team in Billerica, MA as a Supply Chain Specialist. This position will support Supply Planning, Procurement and Supply Chain which supports production of commercial and development materials. Proven experience and a thorough knowledge of material requirements planning and inventory management is essential. This role will work closely with and support Supply Chain. There is cross-function interaction with manufacturing, quality, development, and design. It also assists implementing, and executing material plans to achieve corporate objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze demand plans and develop material requirements plan to support production schedules
  • Support weekly forecast and planning
  • Execute material purchase requisitions and coordinate with the purchasing team to order and/or modify purchase orders as needed
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reporting which supports Supply Chain (Cost, Inventory, Supplier Performance etc.)
  • Work through appropriate channels to resolve issues and get material delivered on time to ensure supply continuity for production schedules
  • Analyze and report risks to minimize impact on the production schedule
  • Support continuous improvement activities to improve the efficiency of planning, scheduling and material flow processes
  • Own master data accuracy for areas of responsibility ensuring proper system alignments and requirements
  • Support efforts to reduce supply chain cost, transit times, and distribution cycle times
  • Support month-end close activities, including inventory troubleshooting and adjustments


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree with concentration in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in material requirements planning, inventory management, scheduling, purchasing, risk management, supplier relationship management and manufacturing resource planning
  • Working knowledge of ERP (SAP preferred) systems, specifically MRP execution, , PO management, and inventory management
  • Knowledge in transportation and distribution principles and best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Team player with the highest level of customer focus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced PC application skills (Excel, Power Point, Word, reporting tools)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others to include communication, presentation, and analysis
  • Familiarity and comfort working in global supply chain
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker that is eager to learn


Preferences:

APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification
