Description

POSITION SUMMARY The Mortgage Loan Servicer will receive and process mortgage loan documents and secondary market loan sales after they have been originated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Customer Interaction:

  • Promptly communicate with borrowers and team members to address inquiries related to mortgage loan servicing.
  • Handle phone inquiries from borrowers and address their concerns related to loan payments, escrow accounts, and other mortgage-related matters.
Loan Management:
  • Complete new loan set up entry in the servicer core system.
  • Prepare and track payments for bills associated with loan closings.
  • Process loan payments, payoff quote request, and payoff fund postings as requested.
  • Review daily payment reports to ensure correct postings are made according to investor requirements.
  • Manage escrow accounts, including property tax, insurance payments, disbursements, and annual analysis.
  • Ensure insurance and tax payments are current for both escrowed and non-escrowed loans.
  • Reconcile General Ledger and DDA accounts for custodial and internal accounts.
  • Complete daily transfers of Investor funds and daily and monthly balancing/reconcilement as assigned.
  • Prepare and upload investor remittance documents as assigned.
Collateral Management:
  • Scan insurance policies into core system received through email and mail.
  • Track and pay any insurance policies/expirations related to the loan.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of loan transactions, payments, and correspondence.
  • Perform loan account maintenance for mortgage loan servicing as assigned:
  • Submission & tracking of lien releases for mortgage loan payoffs.
  • Reconcile and correct unposted loan payments daily.
  • Unapplied funds review and movement of funds per investor requirements.
  • Complete negative escrow account review and borrower communications.
  • Loan Modification requests.
  • PMI removal
  • Checkback processes
Compliance and Regulations:
  • Adhere to fair lending practices and comply with relevant regulations (e.g., RESPA and FCRA).
  • Handle sensitive borrower information with confidentiality.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Associate degree required or equivalent work experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience in similar job duties Prior experience with Precision and Encompass a plus.
