Liberty Ford is growing, and we are looking for a customer-focused Part-time Automotive Receptionist and Cashier to join our winning team!

Be part of Northeast Ohio's largest Ford dealer group. Excellent pay with growth opportunities. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 1 to 6 pm, and Friday, 10 am to 6 pm.

We welcome individuals new to the automotive industry but with previous roles in customer service, retail sales, restaurant industry, or hospitality.

SUMMARY

Receives payment for products or services the dealership sells and plays a crucial role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction for the business transaction while routing incoming calls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicates with callers professionally, friendly, and efficiently, striving to minimize the time they are put on hold while answering phones and cashiering.
  • Takes thorough messages when needed, indicating the caller's first and last name, company name if applicable, the time, and the message the caller wishes to leave.
  • Communicate messages to the appropriate parties promptly.
  • Provides basic information to callers who have general inquiries.
  • Notifies the office manager of switchboard/phone operational difficulties.
  • Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and refers the complaining customer to the appropriate individual.
  • Receives cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
  • Makes changes and issues receipts to customers.
  • Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers.
  • Reconciles cash drawer daily to $700, and reports overages or shortages to OM.
  • Hands out petty cash with authorizing signature and receipt signature.
  • Posts rentals in accounting when turned in.
  • Works with department managers to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price or promotions.
  • Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased or refer them to someone who can.
  • Closes paid/charge service ROs to the appropriate account and puts on log immediately after payment.
  • Scans RO signed by the customer immediately upon receipt of payment (no copies to be made).
  • Scans rentals, RTH, and other documents requested by OM weekly.
  • Posts RTH report and clean WIP schedule weekly.
  • Issue plates and collect payments for lease customers.
  • Completes nightly deposit, verifying against log and SGR report.


Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

  • Ability to work well with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide with 10s and 100s and using units of American money.
  • Ability to type and operate a computer and/or cash register.

EDUCATION
  • High School diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE
  • One-year minimum of cashiering and customer service preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand, sit, and walk the showroom floor. Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds on occasion. Must be able to push, pull, and reach with hands and arms. Must have close and distance vision.
