Description
Orbis is looking for a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Office of the Intelligence Community Chief Financial Officer (IC CFO). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business intelligence principles, data analysis techniques, and the intelligence community landscape. There are multiple openings at the junior, mid and expert experience levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data to identify trends and insights relevant to IC financial management and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Leverage software/services to transform data into actionable insights for data-driven decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions based on data analysis.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the IC on financial management and business intelligence initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in business intelligence and data analytics.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise - Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Senior/Expert: Bachelor's degree with 7+ years' experience in a proficiency area
- Mid-Level: Bachelor's degree with 5 to 7 years' experience in a proficiency area
- Junior Level: Bachelor's degree with 0 to 5 years' experience in a proficiency area
- U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft BI, Qlik).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with financial management and budgetary analysis.
- Knowledge of IC structures, processes, and policies.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with data management and governance principles.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings.
- Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region.
