OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY

Earn and Learn students will provide concierge level assistance to students and visitors in Roth Hall, specifically in the Apple Pie Bakery area, guiding with directions, questions about the restaurants, and support of proper attire for students in academic areas.

SHIFTS:

  • Between Monday - Friday 8am - 4 pm (2 hour to 4 hour shifts)


ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be knowledgeable of hours of operations of campus restaurants and locations.
  • Support student professional attire guidelines in Roth Hall.
  • Greet students and guests in Roth Hall main floor.
  • Provide welcoming guest service and attention to detail.
  • Maintain positive interactions with students and guests.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Multitask and prioritize as necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Represent the CIA with integrity and dedication.
  • All other duties as assigned.


PREREQUISITES

  • Completed first semester of classes OR have minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year experience in customer service.


PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES

  • Experience in customer service.
  • Faculty referral
  • Excellent peer to peer skills
  • In-depth understanding of Institutional professional attire guidelines

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and adhering to standards of operational excellence, safety, efficiency and educational goals set by the CIA.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, students, and faculty/staff.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.


Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends, ability to bend reach and stand for long periods of time, lifting and carrying of items up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to withstand high ambient temperatures.
