Headwater Companies is a Division of Franklin Electric, a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ stock market under the symbol FELE.Blake Equipment is seeking an experienced Service Technician.Our ideal candidate would be a heavy equipment diesel mechanic with experience in troubleshooting and repairing well drilling equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTroubleshoot all aspects of customer well drilling equipmentDiagnosticsRepair diesel and gas enginesRepair hydraulic systemsRepair electrical systemsBe able to drive heavy equipmentWork with manufacturers to obtain partsProcess repair work paperwork for invoicingTravel through New England and the east coast to make repairs as needed (up to 75% travel is required)Ability to lift 50 lbs. or morePerform other related duties as neededPOSITION QUALIFICATIONSSkills and AbilitiesMinimum 2 years' experience working on heavy equipmentDiagnosticsDocumentationHydraulic systems experienceElectrical systems experienceAbility to Weld and FabricateCDL License is a plus but not requiredExperience driving large trucks and equipmentKnowledge of large screw compressorsSelf-starter and able to work alone with a strong work ethicStrong customer service skillsAble to communicate and work well with othersAble to travel and spend time away from homeClean D.O.T.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceCertificates and LicensesDOT CertifiedOEM Engine CertificationsAir Brake CertificationASE Diesel Mechanic
