PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Under general supervision, performs a variety of moderate to complex clerical tasks in the day-to-day operations of the District Court.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND PERFORMANCE:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Prepare case dockets for new for civil, criminal, adoption, probate, guardianship and juvenile cases.
- Receive and distribute pleadings for filing at the counter and electronically;
- Research and duplicate records for customers;
- Respond to inquiries made through all forms of communication.
- Process, sort, review mail and distributes appropriately;
- Establish, maintain and monitor case files;
- Review documents for conformance to standards and requirements
- Process criminal and civil appeals;
- Transmit information to various departments and organizations as directed.
- Enter orders, judgments, hearings and other pleadings and data into case management system.
- Prepare and mail restitution and child support checks;
- Review and process vouchers for payment;
- Prepare and disburse annual report of all unclaimed property to the WY State Treasurer's Office;
- Prepare and distribute monthly checks and reports to the County, State and other agencies.
- Attend all jury trials - administers oaths to jurors, witnesses and bailiffs
- Monitor and prepare notification letters, questionnaires, and summons to potential jurors;
- Maintain master list of potential jurors;
- Prepare and distribute questionnaires, jury list and supplemental questionnaires to the court and counsel for trials;
- Prepare jury payout with daily cost and mileage for jurors and witnesses during trials
- Prepare county voucher for juror payment for trials
- Process wage withholding documents, abatement documents, and other pay records;
- Distribute child support checks to appropriate parties and agencies
- Work professionally and courteously with public and other agencies, including law enforcement, state and private agencies.
