What will I do?

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Inventory / Warehouse Coordinator monitors and controls warehouse inventory required in supporting the Operations and Outside plant teams. This position performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies. The role requires exceptional time management skills, good communication, and the understanding of task tracking regarding asset administration to meet customer due dates.

This position is Onsite M-F 8am-5pm

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse operations including the loading of materials, assembling orders, general cleaning, organization, stocking, and repairs
  • Receive, ship, document, verify, and record quantities and quality of requisitioned items, tools, materials, parts, and supplies
  • Resolve any discrepancies between paperwork and inventory received
  • Maintain all records/logs relative to shipping and receiving
  • Provide regular reporting to management
  • Ensure proper organization and maintenance of warehouse
  • Work with the Operations and Outside plant teams to achieve goals and construction efforts, ensuring that teams have all the necessary supplies
  • Perform weekly cycle counts of inventory to reconcile against material management software records
  • Identify potential inventory shortages and report to management
  • All other duties as required or assigned
Requirements

Knowledge, training, and capable of the following:

Required
  • 2+ years experience in similar role managing materials and inventory; Telecom/utility experience strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to work with little supervision with focus on quality, timely completion of deliverables and proactive resolution of issues
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. required.

Essential Functions

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation. Reaching/working above shoulder for supplies.
