The Work:
Uncommon Architects engages in a wide array of projects including institutional, religious, retail, residential, commercial office, healthcare, and multifamily residential. We emphasize a collaborative design process, valuing client input and the fresh perspectives of all team members, ensuring the best outcomes for every project.
The Office:
Our office, located in Midvale s historic Main Street Business District, operates with a hybrid model that accommodates both in-office and remote workdays. This flexibility supports our commitment to a healthy work-life balance while still allowing for in-person collaboration.
The Candidate:
We are seeking a licensed architect who is enthusiastic about contributing to a diverse and dynamic team. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. Required Qualifications:
Professional Degree in Architecture (M.Arch or B.Arch)
Licensed to practice in the United States
Minimum 3 years of experience in an architecture firm
Proficiency in: Revit and AutoCAD
Experience and understanding of the International Building Code and local zoning ordinances
Experience producing construction documents and specifications
Construction administration experience
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in: Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Lumion, Microsoft Office, Monograph, or Google Suite
Client management experience, particularly with institutional clients
Graphic design skills
