Infection Preventionist RN - Registered Nurse

We are looking for an Infection Preventionist RN - Registered Nurse. We are recruiting for our client in Framingham, MA. This is a long-term care environment.

Infection Preventionist RN - Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Current MA RN - Registered Nurse License.
• Prior experience as a supervisor/manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility required.
• Must have Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Traning Course- CDC Train - an affiliate of the TRAIN Learning Network powered by the Public Health Foundation.
• Critical thinking skills
• Expertise in DPH regulation, along with excellent communication skills.
• Current BLS certification.
  
  

Infection Preventionist RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary

• Develops, implements and evaluates the Lourdes Noreen McKeen infection prevention program.
• Develops an annual surveillance plan based on the population served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data.
• Creates periodic written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing.
• Provides leadership, supervision and educational principles on infection prevention and control for staff.
• Arranges opportunities for meaningful education programs and staff trainings during the year.
• Compiles necessary reports for DPH and other regulatory agencies as required.
• Direct care and rounding for Residents as necessary.
