As our High Precision Construction Assembler we will depend on you to read and interpret shop drawings and determine how to build items to design specifications. This position will help support the production team by assembling different parts. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We are looking for a highly organized, methodical person with a proven track record of experience and success seeking an excellent opportunity for career development.
Responsibilities and Duties
Leveraging years of construction and assembling experience, your primary responsibilities will focus on:
* Building and assembling tools to design specifications by reading and interpreting drawings and schematics.
* Gluing, heat bending, forming and assembly of acrylic products per project requirements.
* Maintenance of equipment and shop housekeeping.
* Operation of machinery to complete daily production goals.
* Perform quality inspections of products.
* Must have polishing skills with hand tools and use of clamping tools.
* Strong knowledge of tooling and the ability to evaluate and generate improvement opportunities
* Be able to determine the condition of tools (rework and clean when necessary)
* Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and report productivity to the manager
* Keep work area clean and organized
* Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on a given task
* Follow all company rules and policies
* Follow all safety rules and quality standards
* Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
* Assemble items as instructed
* Prepare product for shipment
* Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually or machine-assisted
Qualifications
* High School Diploma / GED - Required
* Meticulous attention to detail to follow precise plans
* Experience using Solid Surface materials such as Corian, LG Hausys, Dupont, Hi Macs, Samsung Solid Surface or any other Solid Surface material.
* Measuring skills to take accurate, precise measurements of materials to follow shop drawings
* Work with a variety of tools and equipment
* Must be able to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stand for long periods of time
* Manual dexterity
* Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
* Good computing skills, including Word and Excel
* Written and verbal communications in English
