We are partnering with a leading company specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of commercial cabinetry for chain retail. As they continue to grow, we are recruiting a talented CAD Designer to join their team in Middleton, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Sketchup, Fusion360, etc.) to create accurate and detailed models and drawings.
- Provide support in the development of products and prototypes, collaborating closely with engineers and other team members.
- Perform file conversions, set-up, and maintenance to ensure efficient workflow and organization.
- Assist in materials selection and understanding manufacturing processes to optimize designs for production.
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative in problem-solving and identifying areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, visitors, and vendors, utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in engineering technology or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in materials selection, manufacturing processes, and computer-aided design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Fusion360, and other 3D modeling software.
- Strong understanding of design principles and the ability to translate concepts into accurate models and drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and interface with external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of problem-solving and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
