Dining Room Manager


Job Details

Responsibilities:


  1. Train and document training for all dining staff in service, menu familiarity, and daily specials.
  2. Coordinate with Executive Staff to effectively market special events in the dining room and bar specials.
  3. Responsible for cleanliness, preventative maintenance and set up for Cascades Dining Room, the Bar, the Terrace and Patio.
  4. Responsible for weekly availability report, scheduling and communication of dining staff.
  5. Responsible for verifying pay schedule, gratuity in payroll system and approving timesheets for payroll.
  6. Works with HR on recruiting, interviewing, and training new employees.
  7. Follows company procedures for promotion and wage increases.
  8. Follow all opening and closing procedures.
  9. Supervise employees for end of shift duties: side work, ticket, tip out, etc.
  10. Handle daily staff relations.
  11. Maintain and promote a safe work environment.
  12. Conduct daily pre-shift meeting with FOH & BOH.
  13. Coordinate nightly set up of dining room.
  14. Check with the Chef for any specials or potential issues; update the POS.
  15. During dining service, touch all tables to ensure members and guests are satisfied with their dining experience.
  16. Be on the floor during the entire meal period to ensure smooth service and address member issues.
  17. Responds to member insights relevant to dining service as required.
  18. Communicate quality concerns with executive kitchen staff.
  19. Maintains proper uniform, grooming, and hygiene standards for staff.
  20. Assist in completing inventory.
  21. Escalate to Food and Beverage Manager on any supplies that may be running low.
  22. Maintain a complete knowledge of the menu, wine list, beer selections and liquors available and train staff to availability.
  23. Research training opportunities as required for Sommelier, TIPS & Serve Safe Certifications and other relevant training opportunities.
  24. Complete all other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager.


Position Qualifications:


  1. High School Diploma required, 3-5 years of Private Club and Fine Dining Experience required.
  2. Schedule required for position is Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-10pm.
  3. Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
  4. Must always maintain a professional demeanor.
  5. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Jonas Encore experience is preferred.
  7. Serve Safe and TIPS certification preferred.
