Summary:

The Strategic Sales Supervisor is responsible for three major functions within the Commercial team structure. First, sales and operations liaison to provide pivotal support and direction with multiple members of Commercial and Operational teams. Second,

supervising the inside sales team and ensuring team performance goals set by department leader are achieved. Lastly, inside account management for key customers in conjunction with territory Business Development Leader.


Responsibilities:

Collaborate and creative problem solving with all internal departments on requests, projections, challenges, production planning, trends, and field quality challenges.

Flawless communication flow between sales and operations to ensure customer satisfaction while still meeting company goals.

Technical knowledge of products and value-added services offered.

Multi-task in a fast past competitive industry

Lead-generation programs complementing Commercial initiatives.

Weekly/Daily contact with customers to build long-term relationships and trust.

Overseeing and assessing customer service staff activities and providing them with regular performance-related feedback.

Assisting customer service staff with duties where required.

Cross training team to prepare for unforeseen circumstances.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in strategic discussions with customers as well as strategic planning with operations.

Customer service skills to listen to customers and address their needs.

Interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people each day, build relationships and network both external and internal.

Communication skills; critical for internal and external success.

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Basic measuring skills including standard and metric units.

Basic computer skills.

Must be deadline driven and flexible to respond to changing requirements with tight deadlines in a fast-paced challenging environment.

Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.

Problem solving and forward-thinking skills.

Work Environment:

The employee works in a dynamic sales office and is exposed to moderate noise levels.

Performance Measurements:

Ability to work effectively within a diverse team.

Ability to provide effective communication both written and verbal.

Leadership characteristics and management experience.

Ability to complete assignments in a detailed and timely manner.

Ability to use database and reports for project planning purposes.

Sales and manufacturing knowledge or experience desired.

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Must be able to climb stairs.
