**Account Specialist Customer Care (Sun-Thursday: day shift)**

Hazleton, PA, United States Full Time **Position Summary:**

Successful Account Specialist enjoy the challenges of fostering accounts from initial contact through order, production, shipping & beyond with a sense of urgency and a high standard of care and attention to detail. This position is responsible for responding in a pleasant and professional manner using several methods of communication and the input of relative data into the computer.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following:

* Deliver a great experience while providing support via Phone, Email & Online Chat

* Respond to inbound customer inquiries for information such as ship dates or other questions

* Track packages for call-ins. Initiate tracers with carriers

* Quote pricing, shipping and freight charges for customers and sales reps. Maintain price schedules for accounts, edit approval on new and or existing accounts

* Interface with sales, technical support, purchasing, and logistics in an effort to solve order issues.

* Collaborate with purchasing, & logistics to ensure proper service delivery, shipping, and invoicing.

* Deliver value to the company through conversion, retention, and cross selling of our products

* Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders

* Initiate orders for replacements parts and/or for correcting errors (shortages, wrong item shipped, etc.)

* Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer files in a data system

* Field requests from customers and prospective customers on product, pricing, services. Sends samples to potential and or existing customers. Maintains a log of sample requests and customer contact info

* Conducts mailings to generate new sales, open new markets. Assists with trade show arrangements, creating/updating literature, maintaining the web site, and other marketing materials

* Travels to visit with customers and potential customers when and as needed to maintain relationships.

* Performs all other essential job related duties as required

**Education and/or Experience**

Minimum level acceptable is an Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school. A Bachelors degree (BS/BA) is preferred. Additionally, a minimum of two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Language Skills**

Able to communicate and comprehend in the English Language to perform the duties of this position. Able to read and comprehend instructions and general business material. Able to write clear and concise business correspondence. Able to clearly communicate with customers in person, via the telephone, and via e-mail and convey the intended meaning.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud and PPE is required. Appropriate hearing protection while in the plant is required as noise levels within the facility meet OSHA requirements for hearing protection equipment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Account Representatives typically work between in an office environment but for the purpose of a project may sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
