Sales Tomball, Texas Minimum Experience **Experienced** The Low Voltage Sales position is responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining business with new customers in the Houston and South Texas market area. The position will effectively communicate the services and capabilities of the BL Technology family of companies to a variety of industries. This position requires using the capability to understand the customers needs/requirements and incorporating technical knowledge and sales skills to develop new solutions/opportunities.

The companys technical services include project management, system design, design/build control panels, PLC programming, HMI development, security surveillance, and access control system design/implementation, and fire detection system design/implementation. The sales efforts of this role will concentrate on Security, Fire & Low Voltage solutions. Sales must meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by maintaining and developing new business within Houston and surrounding areas. In this position, you must be an effective communicator and have the skills and experience to be a strategic member of the BLTI sales team, capable of assisting the company to expand into new markets, grow BLTIs customer base, and help BLTIs Low Voltage Division grow to the next level of professionalism and service offerings.

This position is required to have detailed technical conversations with customers, owners, leadership, and our internal Engineering & Project Management group on service functionality and integration to ensure a customers smooth transition from sales, through implementation and beyond. Discussions will be technical, through the language of business, and this role must know when to be more or less detailed. This position must evoke confidence in our solutions and be able to help remove any barriers a client may raise.

In this professional sales role, it is important to maintain self-motivation and drive, in order to be successful in our innovative & fast-paced technical organization experiencing high growth. This position is charged with generating and growing the business and must meet expected quotas in order to keep the company moving forward and prospering.

JOB DUTIES

* Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction

* Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

* Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully working with the sales team

* Build and nurture strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs

* Capable of conducting site walk-throughs to estimate and quote customers

* Establish and maintain long term relationships with customer, architects, and the engineering community

* Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of BLTIs capabilities and product offerings

* Complete and submit required job reports, sales reports, and ISO documentation on a timely basis. Attend sales team meetings & update sales quota reporting

* Identify emerging markets and market shifts while fully being aware of new products and competition status

* Assume project management responsibilities to coordinate design, engineering, installation, programming, and customer training to assure complete customer satisfaction and job profitability

* Assist management in building and strengthening supplier relationships; make recommendations on new product lines and services, and assist in expanding BLTIs presence and value to our customers and suppliers

* Establish and maintain vendor relationships as necessary

* Other duties, as assigned, within the ability and responsibility level of the job

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Daily and/or overnight travel in the field is required. Field environment; new construction, and various types of facilities

* Safety equipment required; hard hats, boots, safety vests, and eye-protective gear

* Required to work overtime as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

*Educational & Experience Requirements*

* Bachelors or Associates degree in business administration or a related field is preferred

* Minimum of 5 (five) years of proven B2B sales experience

* Must have knowledge of security, access control, and surveillance systems

* Must be able to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications

*Special Skills, Knowledge, or Abilities*

* Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

* Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills

* Capable of developing an iron-clad business case

* Proven ability to position products against competitors

* Knowledge of government contracts both at the state and federal level

* Robust technical knowledge of security, access control, and surveillance systems

* Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite *(Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)*

* Highly motivated, organized, and flexible

* Valid Texas drivers license and insurance

* Security Sales License

* Requires a good driving record, drug testing, and a clear background check to obtain a TWIC *(Transportation Worker Identification Card)* thru the Department of Homeland Security
