Construction Superintendent
The Superintendent position functions as a field supervisor and may have responsibility over multiple foremen, and/or laborers, craft workers, and subcontractors. This position is responsible for the organization, work methods, scheduling, cost control, conformity of drawings and specification, quality and workmanship, and assignment of work to accomplish the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of the work, either directly or through the General Foreman or the Foreman. This position manages jobsite safety by ensuring all employees and subcontractors are fully compliant with all OSHA regulations while performing on each project.

Position
Background Requirements (If you don t have all of the requirements, don t worry! It is not necessary to have every single bullet point in your experience)
- Associates or BS in an engineering field or construction management, related field, or equivalent years of direct experience (Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field).
- 5-7 years of direct experience in the construction industry
- Thorough knowledge of construction safety as regulated by OSHA.
- Thorough knowledge of construction practices and sequence of activities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, P6, Bluebeam
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as project representative with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project review, and other meetings and correspondence.
- Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
- Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget, and/or schedule.
- Maintain ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations or adjust project deliverables to meet client and PWC needs
- Assist Project Manager in establishing and implementing project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all work; determine and oversee all project controls, schedules and budgets
- Assist with managing and directing project construction teams by providing communication, coordination, and follow-through to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood
- Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice, applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements.
- Review and approve the balance of Foremen, Journeymen, and Laborer s composite labor rates.
- Utilize knowledge of basic engineering fundamentals and practices to track and budget progress with project milestones
- Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover.
- Maintain daily reports for distribution to owner
