****Position Overview****
* **Follow a culture that is rich in safety and quality workmanship**
* **Utilize equipment to excavate ground material around utility poles**
* **Apply wood preservatives to the ground line area of a pole**
* **Help install steel trusses to restore wood poles**
* **Operate company vehicle (if applicable and qualified)**
* **Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned by the Foreman or Crew Leader**
* **Work schedules are typically 5-6 days per week, 8-10 hours per day, may require performing stand by duties or on-call work assignments**
* **Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety requirements to maintain a successful safety record**
****Job Duties****
* **Ability to travel for work about 75% of the time with per diem and lodging provided**
* **High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism**
* **Ability to work independently, in small groups or a team**
* **Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, bend, reach and to move or carry items weighing up to 65 lbs**
* **Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and in various hours of the day or night and holidays as required**
* **Ability to work in terrains mixing and consisting of rocky, steep, uneven ground, wetlands, and flat areas**
* **Electric utility and telecommunications experience preferred**
