Job Description

Having recently spun out of a larger organization, Sapient has the benefit of a large client and asset base and private equity backing, while being a start-up in year two operationally. The ideal candidate is excited to build process and operational architecture from scratch, work with large data sets, proactively come up with new and better solutions, be part of a Product Development team nested within a wealth management business and have a significant impact on the organization in the early stages of its formation.

We are looking to add a driven Technology & Product Development Analyst to our growing team. This position will be based in Indianapolis, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. The primary responsibilities for this role will be to leverage Sapient s extensive tech stack to effectively maintain and improve all core processes while following best enterprise management practices. Additionally, they will handle data activities including investment reporting, portfolio validation and analysis and compliance adherence to regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with all internal teams and a multitude of outside sources to achieve timely and accurate delivery of the following functions.

What You Will Do:

  • Ongoing Enterprise Maintenance. Gain a deep understanding of various applications to become a power user capable of providing training and support to others. Lead Performance Reporting, Data Aggregation & Document Management functions. Link new accounts daily by gathering and entering data across multiple platforms, including Addepar, Arch, and Wealthbox. Effectively maintain operational workflows designed to ensure accuracy and unification in naming convention, attribute and tag application, and ownership structure across applications. Assist with the launch and ongoing maintenance of the Sapient data warehouse.

  • Data Integrity Assurance. Run an end-to-end workflow for Sapient Private Partnerships by updating and auditing cash flows and valuations in Arch while curating the vendor relationship itself by leading weekly calls to go over reoccurring pain points and improve processes. Conduct Addepar data verifications and audits in advance of reporting and billing cycles. Investigate and troubleshoot data pipelines and custodial feed issues, while troubleshooting directly with the vendor support when needed.

  • Reporting & Document Management Support. Identify, respond, and resolve issues and questions related to reporting raised by Sapient advisors and clients. Administer timely document access for clients and authorized interested parties. Create, manage, and audit custom attributes and views in Addepar to support sophisticated requests. Assist with internal reporting when needed.

  • Other. Ad-hoc support for various firm-wide and department-specific initiatives. Assist senior team members with their projects when needed. Identify other areas of operational success and improvement opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree required
  • This is an entry-level position that requires less than a year of practical experience in portfolio reporting and enterprise management
  • Strong analytical skills with significant knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, including experience with formulas and functions required to manage and audit large data sets
  • Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
