Position Overview:

As the Plant Manager at our Bakewell, TN location, you'll be pivotal in directing and managing all plant operations, ensuring excellence in production, maintenance, quality, and beyond. Reporting to the Director of Operations for TPG Pressure, you'll lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:

Develop processes to maximize safety, quality, and productivity, championing stewardship and efficiency.
Define lot sizes and drive lead times for all products, optimizing production efficiency.
Implement equipment and automation strategies directed by senior management, driving innovation and effectiveness.
Oversee in-house manufacturing of Flange production, joint ring, and specials production, ensuring seamless operations.
Direct and manage plant operations across production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.
Coordinate plant activities to achieve manufacturing objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.
Balance business goals with people management, motivating and empowering workers for success.
Negotiate raw material prices with suppliers, optimizing cost-effectiveness.
Ensure execution of scheduled production as per Master scheduler, maintaining operational efficiency.
Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards, driving continuous improvement.
Communicate effectively with Human Resources on personnel matters, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Champion a culture of "Best-in-Class" Safety, prioritizing the well-being of our team.
Provide consistent guidance and training to team members, fostering professional growth and development.
Maintain expertise in metal fabrication processes and operations, ensuring operational excellence.
Control labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses, optimizing operational costs.
Maintain plant facilities and equipment, implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Drive shop floor organization and plant cleanliness initiatives among plant personnel.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or five years of plant/general management experience in a metal fabrication environment.
Industry experience is a plus.
Knowledge and experience overseeing various types of metal fabrication processes.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable heavy manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and a demonstrated record of safety-focused leadership.
Experience with Lean principles and 5S process improvement methodologies.

Skills:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven ability to manage a stand-alone facility as part of a larger group.
Effective decision-making abilities.
Negotiation skills for successful vendor relationships.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
