The Data Scientist, Statistician will apply statistical theory and methods to collect, interpret, and summarize data as well as create forecasts and recommend actions based on data. Highly skilled in the area of time series analysis, the candidate will bring a wide range of technical expertise in the fields of machine learning, exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting edge technical fields including data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Statistical forecasting techniques (Time series, Holt-Winters, ARIMA, ARIMAX etc.)Skilled in finding innovative and robust solutions to complex and real-world problems using statistics and machine learning.Identify trends and patterns using data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)Ability to design analytics solutions, simulation, and modelling to address business problems.Familiarity with Cloud solutions like GCP/AWS preferred.Builds predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.Documents all processes and research.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Qualfications
Degree must be in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related STEM field. Master s degree preferred.Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis.Extensive experience with SQL and statistical software packages (Python, R, SAS) required.Experience using business intelligence tools and data frameworks.Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse audiences.Experience with logistics preferred.Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook.Committed to providing outstanding customer service and represents the company in a professional manner.Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information.Must be able to identify and escalate non-technical issues to their immediate Supervisor or People Services department.Requires the ability to prioritize work, meet stringent deadlines, balance multiple tasks and work in a team environment.Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment where personal initiative is a critical element to success.Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
