Job Details

General Statement of Duties

Temporary position and is open until filled.No more than 29 hours per week.

To serve as the primary manager of Student Voice and Communications for the department.

Communication responsibilities include:

  • Construct the monthly Equity and Diversity newsletter, which requires

-acquisition and management of articles

-layout and design.
  • Incorporate all resources into the newsletter as designated by EDO.
  • Post information on our social media platforms

Other responsibilities:
  • Complete assignments as requested for the benefit of the Department of Equity, Diversity, and Opportunity as a whole.
  • Embrace the important mission and vital service of EDO.
  • Oversee the Affiliate Program that promotes cross-district, community, and intersectional opportunities for school-based groups designed to empower historically marginalized students and/or promote cultural awareness


Essential Duties

Support the coordination of Equity Ambassador programming

Oversee Language Navigators - a subgroup of Equity Ambassadors.

Coordinate projects and activities for Language Navigators.

Maintain accurate records of student participation in projects and activities.

Curate department newsletter and social media

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and three years of relevant experience directly working with children required.
  • Successful applicants will have experience with Social Media Platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).
  • Strong writing skills required.


Additional Information

$25.18per hour. This is a temporary position and is open until filled.
