Hybrid role, one week per month on-site in either Durham NC or Salt Lake City UT.

Our industry-leading financial services client is seeking a Senior Java engineer. They will be part of a team that is developing a new cloud-native financial services including a trade Order Management System of the trading activity on the brokerage platform.
This involves being part of a scrum team working collaboratively on developing features, defining architecture and technical design, and evolving the development process. This role includes technical leadership of components and providing mentoring.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor level degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical field
- Experience working with a variety of programming languages, frameworks, operating systems, and platforms
- Strong technical design skills and experience with object-oriented design
- Solid understanding of databases
- Significant experience developing Restful APIs
- At least 10 + years of Java programming experience
- Significant Spring Boot experience
- Experience with gRPC APIs is very desirable
- Experience with microservices and event-based architecture
- Experience with Kubernetes and other cloud technologies is very desirable
- Strong understanding of Kafka architectures - understanding the architecture of Kafka and relationships between the client and broker.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
