BankFund Credit Union is a full-service financial cooperative that was organized and chartered in 1947 as a convenient place for employees of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund and their families to save and to obtain credit. Located in Washington, DC, BankFund maintains three full-service branches downtown as well as a full-service Lending Center near Farragut West metro station.

Summary

Account Executives are experienced sales and service representatives of BankFund Credit Union who engage and manage relationships with members and prospects. They serve as the key point of contact to generate sales leads through daily outreach. Outreach requires engaging in daily phone calls (outbound/inbound), emails, secure messages, and leading credit union/sponsor group events (onsite/offsite) to meet the borrowing and deposit needs of our members.

Responsibilities

Actively conducts outbound and inbound member engagement activities (outbound calls/emails) to actively contact members for select corporate campaigns and promotions.Creating and maintaining a high level of personal contact with members and achieving superior service excellence.Schedules appointments and advises members applying for mortgages, home equity loans and consumer loans on the best product fit to meet their needs. Must stay up to date on current loan terms and loan programs to quote rates and provide payment calculations/amortizations while adhering to all requirements of the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E. Act).Monitor and track daily/weekly sales activities to ensure monthly sales goal met/exceeded.Facilitate relationships with the Credit Union s Sponsor groups and coordinating associations. Provide information and serve as the face of BankFund during seminars, New Employee Orientations, special interest group meetings and other new outreach initiatives. Assist with all membership drives and product promotions designed to increase BankFund membership growth and products.Serve as the member s liaison between other BankFund departments to coordinate the flow of information, communication, and documentation. As well as maintaining a thorough understanding of the Credit Union operations to effectively understand, explain, and resolve any member inquiry or concern.Maintain a thorough understanding of Member Relations and Lending policies and procedures as well as the MSR III job responsibilities.Accept applications and interview members applying for, consumer from BankFund. Counsels and advises members with regard to their financial activities, explaining the different financing options available through the Credit Union. Review applications, credit reports and income verifications to ensure compliance with Credit Union lending policies, guidelines, and credit standards.Opens deposit accounts, cross-sells loan products and services based on members needs. Responds to member inquiries and concerns and provide solutions. Sells and cross-sells products and services while talking with members. Achieves individual sales goals on a monthly basis.Participate in annual Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) training and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the BSA and OFAC, including the immediate reporting of unusual or suspicious activity to the Risk Management Department. Undertake additional training specific to daily responsibilities and as required to ensure continued compliance with all applicable regulations.Ensure the Credit Union s safe harbor protections as allowed by the BSA. Understand that if confronted with knowledge of existence of a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), an obligation exists to preserve the confidentiality of that SAR, as well as any information that may reveal the existence of a SAR. Maintain awareness of, and immediately report to the Compliance Officer, any unauthorized disclosure of a SAR, or unauthorized disclosure of information related to a SAR. Understand that failure to do so is a violation of federal law and may lead to both civil and criminal penalties for SAR disclosure violations.Successfully participate in annual Information Security refresher training. Comply with the Information Security Policy, including the immediate reporting of unusual or suspicious activity to management and the Information Security Officer. Follow all procedures to protect company computers from viruses, and to maintain the security and confidentiality of Credit Union data.Proactively manage risk in every interaction by adhering to operational and regulatory policies and procedures.Undertake other work-related duties as assigned by the General Manager, Retail Sales and Service.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.Must be able to obtain and maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Maintenance of their unique identifier number includes applying for an annual recertification through the NMLS database.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to interact effectively with members and work well in a team.Maintaining positive relationships with members to ensure future sales.Excellent sales and service skills to communicate the benefits of BankFund s product offering to drive sales.

Experience

Experience in member services or lending with a proven track record of exceptional sales and service performanceThree to five years proven experience in financial services and prior knowledge of credit union industry, products and solutionsPrior sales experience in an environment with individual sales goals, where goals were met or exceeded routinelyAbility to operate financial computer systems and have fluency in technical applications like Microsoft Office
