What You'll Do:

Oversee complex residential multi-family development projects. You will be responsible for the coordination of all project design efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution. Demonstrate problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively respond to challenging situations. Prepare strategic plans for project success. Serve as primary liaison with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Serve as primary client liaison working to maintain positive relationship with project stakeholders. Develop and maintain successful relationships with consultants, contractors, and jurisdictional agencies.
  • Estimate design fees through formulating project/staffing plan and confirming fees with finance team. Produce design fee proposals, inclusive of consultant's scope and fee proposals.
  • Establishes the project schedule and orchestrates internal team for production, coordinates team assignments, and maintains updated project plan
  • Orchestrates preparation of presentations and deliverables from the design team. Accountable for review of deliverables. Responsible for external project communications
  • Fosters a productive and healthy team morale and working dynamic. Provides mentoring of staff. Proactively communicate staffing needs and changes with staffing director/team leaders. Participate in the interview process for hiring new staff.
  • Proactively organize and execute selected marketing and business development opportunities. Maintaining focus on financial performance and managing risk exposure for the firm.
  • Identify and leverage core skills and areas of interest for staff, providing opportunities for growth and development amongst the team.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of architectural design, project management, and related professional experience
  • Direct experience with large-scale multifamily developments and Affordable Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) is required
  • Accredited degree in Architecture required, Master's preferred
  • Architectural licensure desired
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, project planning software, Bluebeam Revu/Studio for document review and management tools or similar
  • Advanced proficiency in REVIT and other software including Photoshop, InDesign, and Sketchup
  • Knowledge about sustainability and integrated design
