The Manager, Transportation will oversee and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of FIDELITONEs freight and brokerage department and will participate in negotiating pricing, evaluating carrier tariffs, regulatory compliance and creating customized solutions for FIDELITONEs freight brokerage internal and external customers.
Duties will also include daily performance reporting, process mapping and improvement, revenue and cost management and customer metrics reporting and management. The Manager, Transportation will work and communicate with FIDELITONEs Regional Support Center managers, and will be responsible for creating client business reviews to present to customers and FIDELITONEs Executives and Management.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
* Works with customers, account management, and operations to manage FIDELITONEs Transportation Department.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients through contact and advocacy by offering advice, solutions, solving problems and issue management. Leverage those relationships to improve overall operations and service.
* Develop and implement more efficient procedures to eliminate waste and errors, thereby improving productivity and profits.
* Apply knowledge of relevant modes of transportation (LTL, TL, Expedited, Small Parcel, Air, Ocean) to provide client service and innovative solutions.
* Manage several customers transportation network, proactively identify problems and mitigate risk.
* Responsible for account growth, pricing, and client satisfaction.
* Establish and develop relationships with carriers and design effective solutions to meet clients needs.
* Ability to operate FIDELITONEs routing and transportation management software to effectively track, manage and report business trends and volume predictions.
* Supervise Activities of Transportation Analyst and Transportation Billing Specialist.

**Required Experience**
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**
* Bachelors degree in Business or related field.
* 5+ years of Logistics/Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering, Business Manager/Project Management, and/or Sales support experience.
* Or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
