BU Wellness Network is the largest African-American AIDS service organization (ASO) in the state of Indiana. The organization operates under three pillars of service: HIV/STI prevention services, supportive services for people living with HIV, and nutrition services to address food-related health disparities. These programs seek to provide a holistic approach to addressing the HIV epidemic. BU Wellness Network has served over 2,000 people annually through our variety of services offered at BU Wellness Network BU Wellness Network offers all of its services free of charge. BU Wellness Network has provided over 24 years of dedicated service to both the city of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Director at BU Wellness Network located in Indianapolis, IN. The Executive Director will be responsible for managing and overseeing the organization's operations, programs, and services. They will develop and implement the strategic plan, supervise staff, collaborate with community partners, engage in fundraising initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulations and grant requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in nonprofit management or a related field
- Knowledge of HIV/STI prevention and supportive services
- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation
- Proven ability to develop and maintain partnerships and collaborations
- Grant writing and fundraising experience
- Budgeting and financial management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master's degree preferred
