Summary Description:

The Maintenance Manager leads the department and oversees the installation, repair and upkeep of company property, including machines, mechanical systems, and buildings.

Duties:

  • Responsible for sustaining production equipment for all products within the facilities. Production equipment includes, but is not limited to equipment, facilities, utilities, furniture and fixtures.
  • Implement and monitor equipment records and maintenance records for trends and performance.
  • Ensures equipment and facilities are maintained in a safe, operable condition at all times.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment as needed, especially when covering an area or assisting techs/leads.
  • Responsible for reduction in downtime.
  • Help streamline packaging operations through knowledge if equipment within department.
  • Administers vacation, holiday and work schedule for the maintenance team.
  • Assists NPD with projects, test equipment and prototypes which will be scaled into production equipment.
  • Responsible for sustaining and maintaining the facility (building; including water, lighting, electrical needs, HVAC) (-currently excludes GGTC s chiller, overall building services, etc.
  • Plan and implement effective procedures utilizing total productive maintenance (TPM) strategies for the production & ancillary equipment ensuring asset reliability where all equipment, machinery and systems are in an "up and running" state at all times.
  • Work with current Maintenance Leads to ensure areas are maintained at a superior level.
  • Work with all departments to continually improve systems, equipment and safety.
  • Drive a maintenance culture that is focused on continuous improvement, positive morale and exceptional levels of customer service.
  • Coordinates emergency repairs efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associates degree in a related field (Electrical, Mechanical).

Specific Skills:

  • Should be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment.
  • Demonstrate good judgment.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
  • Must have good computer skills; Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to do light fabrication with metal, and wood.
  • Read Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic prints.
  • Knowledge of PLC s, VFD s and Servo s.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the facility and organization.
