Position Title: District Leader

Position Overview:

As a Regional Business Lead at The Halal Shack, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of multiple restaurant locations within your assigned region. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, ensuring adherence to company standards, and fostering a Made with Love Culture of excellence among your teams. Regional Leads for our company also serve as ancillary partners for our Licensed stores as assigned.


Regional Business Leads are responsible for ensuring that unit leadership is adequate and are working to elevate their players, if a unit is unable to maintain the required leadership levels the Regional is the interim leadership and will work with their direct report to maintain operations while viable leadership is identified.


Regional Leads are Halal Shack Operation Experts, with an onsite-unit focus, following a structure of time blocking to ensure execution is in place throughout their Region.

Regional Leads work following School Calendars for an estimated 50+ hours a week during semesters on-site at their units, with administrative summer responsibilities assigned by Senior Leadership during off-semester times.


Key Responsibilities:


Operational Leadership:

Provide strategic direction and guidance to General Managers and restaurant teams to ensure operational efficiency and excellence.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, profitability, Guest satisfaction, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Conduct regular assessments of restaurant operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

Ensure consistency in food quality, service standards, and overall guest experience across all locations within the region.

Financial Management:

Ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and financial targets set by senior management.

Develop and execute budgets and operating plans for each restaurant within the region, implementing and improving standards and processes to at the minimum meet the targeted cost controls.

Focus on driving revenue growth and cost optimization through Restaurant Excellence, and monitor, maintain or course correct the performance of the unit.

Analyze financial reports and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

o Identifying and developing strategies for improvement as needed, with detailed progress and communication tracking.

Implement strategies to maximize profitability, including pricing adjustments, cost control measures, and revenue enhancement initiatives.


Team Development and Training:

Recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams across all restaurants within the region.

o Ensure People Planning is monitored weekly, to identify key man risk and triage plans for continuity of performance at the Unit Level

Foster a positive work environment characterized by teamwork, collaboration, and a strong commitment to Halal Shack Restaurant Excellence.

Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to support professional growth and career advancement.

Implement succession planning initiatives to identify and cultivate future leaders within the organization.


Guest Satisfaction and Brand Loyalty:

Uphold the company's brand standards and values, ensuring consistency in brand messaging and Guest experience.

Monitor Guest and Client feedback, addressing any concerns or issues raised in a timely and proactive manner.

Ensure Halal Shack tools, strategies, and programs are executed to drive Guest engagement, retention, and loyalty.


Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and brand standard requirements across all restaurant locations.

Implement policies and procedures to mitigate operational risks and maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and guests.

Conduct regular audits to assess compliance levels and address any non-compliance issues promptly.



Corporate Leader for Licensees:

Regional Leads are assigned Licensed restaurants within their markets, for support and monitoring of Operational Excellence and Execution

Ensure compliance with Brand Expectations, assessing their performance and governance.

Brand Consistency Check - Ensure that the brand's messaging, visual identity, and guest experience meet Halal Shack standards.

Guest Experience Support - Maintain ongoing assessments of the food quality, service, cleanliness, speed of service, friendliness, and overall culture.

Operational Efficiency Review Ensure compliance with operational processes and efficiency including Back of House operations, inventory management, staffing levels, and guest flow.

Compliance and Standards Ensure teams comply with all relevant audits required by the brand as well as local and federal health and safety regulations, and industry-standard requirements.

Based on the findings from the audits and evaluations, the Regional Business Leader provides recommendations and develops action plans to address any identified issues, capitalize on strengths, and enhance the overall brand performance.
