**Automotive Customer Service Technician**
**Zumbrota Sales - Zumbrota, MN - Full Time**
**Summary:**
The Automotive Customer Service Tech/Core Purchaser is responsible for identifying and resolving technical product issues for our customer base; providing technical sales support to all RANDYS Worldwide locations; and procuring transmission core, transfer case core and differential core from brokers and wrecking yards to fulfill pre-sold customer orders.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
* Provide technical support to variety of customers (individual to corporate) to determine root cause of issue and work with all parties to resolve problem satisfactorily
* De-escalate client interactions quickly, providing re-assurance their technical issues will be re-solved in a timely and satisfactory manner
* Create and maintain professional quality business relationships both internally and with external customers and vendors
* Work cross-functionally to provide technical support to RANDYS Worldwide and Zumbrota Drivetrain Sales Reps
* Purchase transmission core, transfer case core and differential core for pre-sold customer orders
* Provide feedback to Quality Assurance team to improve overall product quality and reduce product failure rate
* Provide technical training to new hires within sales department, as needed
* Provide National Account support, as needed
**Education & Experience:**
* Strong automotive technical background with a minimum of 2 years gained on the job or 3 years gained through a combination of education and experience.
* Preference given to candidates with experience selling or purchasing core products
**Knowledge & Personal Attributes** :
* Must have good working knowledge of transmissions, transfer cases and front and rear differentials
* Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Must be able to communicate professionally over the phone, face-to-face and through the use of email and video technology
* Ability to self-manage time and tasks to meet agreed upon deliverables and/or company schedules
