Role Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable service technician, with experience in Building Inspections, General Window/Doors service knowledge such as: Glass Glazing, Balance Rods, Sliding Glass Door Service, Windowsills/Tile. We will not train, experience in this industry is a must.
1. Service of storefronts, windows, and doors
2. Analyze the punch-out list with the homeowner to ensure completion in an efficient, safe, and
in a timely manner.
3. Responsible for meeting homeowner needs by providing repair work is completed to the
homeowner's and company's satisfaction.
4. Replace defective parts and assist customers when windows and doors are not working
correctly.
5. Responsible for providing break metal, changing screens, and deglazing glass. (providing
accurate measurements, if needed)
6. Installation of locks, hinges, and related hardware
7. Contact customers with Inspections time frames and service time frames
8. Complete final inspection and cosmetic work if needed, including stucco, trim, drywall, etc.
9. Update Buildertrend for every customer and Coordinators will follow up with each job.
10. Identify and report significant issues or necessary parts needed to complete repairs to the
Coordinator
11. Report to work as scheduled and seek approval from their supervisor(s) in advance for any
changes to the established work schedule, including the use of PTO or late.
12. Commit full effort to job responsibilities during work hours & work respectfully with team
members/fellow service technicians to the best of their ability .
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior Knowledge of Windows and Door Installation and/or service work is preferred.
- Previous Experience managing Technical/Field Workers.
- Comfortable working on computers and/or tablets.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks as needed.
- Ability to work at other locations as required.
