Construction Project Manager


Job Details

The Axel Group is looking to add a Project Manager to our clients team based out of Chester County, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.


Position Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate sound business sense, technical knowledge, strong leadership, organizational ability, time management, communication skills, and professional client service technique.
  • Lead project from estimate through close-out documentation.
  • Manage delivery of individual projects and holds responsibility for the achievement of cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, master schedule, and procurement strategy and control scope, cost, schedule, cost events, and quality.
  • Oversee activity of Project Engineers, Construction Manager, and Site Superintendents on projects.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate between design construction, compliance, client, and subcontractor personnel.
  • Manage client interaction on assigned projects and promote positive relationships.
  • Identify risks to the project and corporation and works with Project Executives and Director of Operations to mitigate risks.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction management experience
  • 4-year construction based degree preferred (or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree)
  • Demonstrated competency in scheduling, procurement, budget/cost control, financial reporting, etc.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, etc.
  • Competent in PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications (i.e. Primavera, Procore, Timberscan, Excel)
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
