Qualifications
Detail-oriented, independent, and self-reliant quick learner with a good understanding of electronic equipment, computers, and systems integration concepts
Associates/Technical degree in Electronics or related field or equivalent military experience
3+ years of Field Service
Must have a good understanding of computer networking basics
Proficient with electronic test instruments and communication/interface modems
Knowledge and experience reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
Ability to travel up to 75% - domestic and international
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain a passport
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
Using your expertise, you'll be passionate about delivering efficient service at customer sites (mainly Marine and offshore) with a strong focus on coordination, preparation, and execution
Working with the Technical Services Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical and engineering skills, whilst travelling (globally) and working on an extraordinary team
Perform Marine related service activities such as dry docking, surveys, desk-preparation, startups of Emerson Marine instruments & applications
Perform technical evaluations as part of all Emerson Marine related service activities
Solve instrument related malfunctions and commission new instruments / Sea-trials worldwide (Shipyards)
Coordinate and perform field device modifications - Instruction of operating principles
Participate in Call-out service (including performing service activities at irregular hours)
Report in a clear and proper way all aspects of the service visit using the appropriate tools and software
Perform additional services from Emerson portfolio
Able to systematically troubleshoot problems, analyze Information, and make on the spot judgment calls
Can build and maintain client relationships, have good reporting skills, be confident and quality focused, be patient and respectful when working with colleagues and customers
Based on Experience - $90-$100k+
