Compensation
Hourly base pay rate is $20.87 - $31.25/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

Responsible for providing administrative support and coordinating the movement of vehicles for the Transportation Department as well as providing quality service to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Interact with customers to verify vehicle information, condition of vehicle and schedule time of pick-up and delivery of vehicles.

Follow up on cars available for pick-up and delivery

Complete and process paperwork related to the pick-up and delivery function efficiently and accurately.

Review all completed transportation requests for accuracy

Data entry and updating notes in AS400 system regarding pick-ups and deliveries.

Post and invoice for transportation services rendered

Review and collect on transportation's aged AR

Review neighbor island weekly operating report, post and invoice

Prepares Oahu daily transportation report

Perform clerical duties associated with the drive service in an efficient manner

Book, coordinate, execute all aspects of the interisland shipping process with Young Brothers. Track and communicate with client the status of shipping.

Book, coordinate, execute all aspects of the west coast shipping process with Pasha and Matson. Maintain shipping log, track and communicate with client the status of shipping.

Transfer handwritten VIN's and post the information to the AS400 to invoice

Miscellaneous filing, copying and handling mail

Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, which may include assisting in other areas of the office as necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline;
  • OR 5 years' experience in a related field


Preferred:
  • Minimum of 1-year clerical, office and/or customer service work experience preferred, including ten-key and computer data entry.
  • Competencies/Skills: Effective communication skills required. Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills. Must be able to type 50 WPM. Must be knowledgeable in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear. Ability to lift 1-10 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: Office environment occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, and fumes/odors. Moderate Noise level.
