JOB SUMMARY:

The Income Tax Manager will manage and oversee the income tax accounting function, including but not limited to federal, state, and local income tax returns, quarterly and year-end income tax provision, and income tax audits. Maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations while ensuring the staff works cohesively, operates efficiently and effectively while meeting all applicable deadlines.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of filings related to the Company s corporate income tax compliance. Reviews and analyzes new tax rules and changes to existing tax rules to ensure the Company s continued compliance.
  • Assists with the preparation and review of the worldwide annual and quarterly income tax provision, preparation and consolidation of the deferred tax assets, review of uncertain tax positions, documentation and support of the consolidated provision and SEC tax disclosures.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of accounts/accruals, identifying and researching differences, follow up to ensure that reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner; record necessary accounting entries; and prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Research income tax issues and assists both with addressing income tax issues in connection with special projects and with developing income tax savings/risk minimization strategies. Monitor current law changes along with proposed and pending tax legislation for the US and SALT.
  • Manages federal income tax audit or examinations. Anticipating auditor s requests, coordinating preparation of documents and support for returns, monitor and research audit issues. Assist with state and local income tax audits as needed.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Corporate income tax experience in public accounting/corporate tax. CPA, Masters in Tax, JD/LLM a plus.

Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 5+ years

Technical/Other Skills Required: Proficiency with tax return software (OneSource), financial systems, and tax research tools (CCH, RIA, BNA, etc.).
