POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs manual labor and equipment operation to assist with road repairs, snow removal, and other assignments to assist with overall department operations.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR STREET OPERATOR I
- High School Diploma/equivalent with two (2) years' work experience operating trucks and heavy equipment
- Valid Class A CDL or must be able to obtain within six (6) months of hire at the City's expense
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR STREET OPERATOR II
- High School Diploma or equivalent with eight (8) years of related work experience operating trucks and heavy equipment
- Valid Class A CDL or must be able to obtain within six (6) months of hire at the City's expense
- Proficient equipment operations
- Proficient with all street maintenance operations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MSHA training
- Welding/fabrication experience
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
- Must reside within 15 miles of the Watertown Regional Airport
