Looking to direct hire a Carpenter and Laborer for a project March 1, 2022 for at least 3 months or longer at the beginning of the project and at the end. This is a prevailing wage project!

Provide labor to install protection to items remaining in place and remove materials catalogued/ID'd/protected/stored during demolation, construction and re-instalalations. Including shoring systems.

Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue

Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required

Interpret project drawings and documents and have the ability to dimensionally layout construction tasks; formulate a detailed material list including the associated tools and equipment needed to perform a task

General knowledge of electricity and low voltage wiring

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

Must have at least 5 years experience working with Government or commercial construction projects

Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public

Authorized to work in the US for any employer, and be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test

Work independently as well as part of a team

Ability to get to and from job site on a daily basis

Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide range of climates and environments

Must have valid drivers license and ability to travel out of town for work

1st Aid/CPR preferred

OSHA 10 preferred

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of the work is performed in an outdoor setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
