COMMERCIAL CARPENTER/HANDYMAN
Are you a fully rounded carpenter or handyman with a truck, tools and extensive carpentry experience? We are looking to hire fully vetted, EXPERIENCED carpenters or handymen with form to finish experience in the trade. You should have transportation with your own work vehicle with pack outs full of all of the tools of the trade.

Gil Hyatt Construction, an established 40-year General Contractor specializing in fast-track commercial construction projects is looking for full-time, experienced, all-around general carpenters/handymen for its commercial projects located throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Position offers room to advance in a rapidly growing company!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform tasks in all areas and aspects of construction projects
- Must be able to work independently on projects and summarize and report hours and expenses for billing and payroll purposes
- Experience in building trades, not limited to; carpentry, plumbing, masonry, stucco, roofing, drywall, painting, electrical, signage, concrete, asphalt and fencing
- Ability to work with tools, lumber and materials
- Form to finish carpentry
- Door installation and repairs
- Painting, knockdown, ceiling tile and ceiling repair
- Perform various maintenance jobs and repairs
- Identify, document and report maintenance and repair work
- Suggest additional repairs when identified and needed
- Help with tile and/or flooring installation
- Assist with trim carpentry and/or exterior siding
- Project and construction cleanup
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing maintenance
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Commercial Construction as Foreman/General Laborer
- Fluent in English; Spanish a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to complete assignments with specific turnaround times
- Must have ability to photograph, document and upload completed work to Procore (CRM app) **Will train**
- Ability to climb ladders for heights of up to 30 feet
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation & valid Driver s License
- Mechanical aptitude
- Restaurant repair/construction experience a plus
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Compensation: Starts at $22.50 per hour based on experience
- Pay Schedule: Weekly pay
- Insurance: Medical, Dental, & Vision benefits available after 90 days.
