Salary Range: $37,856.00-49,000.00

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the processing of all accounts payable. The Accounts Payable Specialist prepares monthly summaries and other reports as required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Check invoices with purchase orders & receipts.
  • Prepare vouchers, classify & code the expenses.
  • Record expenses in the general ledger.
  • Process monthly accounts payable bills such as rents, utilities & all insurance
  • Process petty cash, metro cards disbursement, check requests & expense reimbursements.
  • Communicates with vendors and staff to resolve issues.
  • Prepare monthly vendors analyses, open Purchase Orders and vendor statements
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Prepares & Files annual 1099 MISC.
  • Filing and clerical support.
  • Assist the Assistant Controller with other duties/all finance department matters as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  1. Associate Degree with 2-3 years experience required, BA/BS degree and 1-2 years experience preferred.
  2. Full charge bookkeeper with over 4 years experience required.
  3. Proficient in MS Word & Excel required.
  4. Microsoft Dynamics (SERENIC) experience highly preferred.
