Job Description

We are looking for Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing Team in Chantilly, VA.

As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will:

  • Work closely with internal customer(s) and the companies supply chain providers.

  • Complete duties with a high degree of compliance, detail, and Customer Service.
  • Develop appropriate acquisition strategies to meet short term and long-term requirements.


A week in the life of a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will:
  • Perform turnkey acquisition functions to include proposal support, sourcing, RFP/RFQ/RFI, supplier response/proposal evaluation, contractual award, close-out, and maintenance processes.
  • Create, manage, and maintain compliant Procurement related documentation through administration of source documentation files.
  • Assess vendors for prequalification based upon standard practices and marketplace research.
  • Sources and conducts purchase of products/services/supplies necessary for operation of an organization operating both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Prepares solicitation documents, determine correct solicitation method, and determine sources to be solicited.
  • Review and Evaluate supplier responses, confirm bids/proposals; compile, validate and process required documentation.
  • Conduct and document price and/or cost analysis to determine fairness and reasonableness.
  • Perform and document source selection determinations.
  • Perform Negotiation on all types of contractual documentation to include Terms and Conditions, Pricing, Delivery, Deliverables, SLA's.


Job Requirements

  • Must be US Citizen
  • 6 years of related work experience
  • BA in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent related experience)
  • Have a thorough knowledge of operating within a Contractor Procurement System Review (CPSR) approved system
  • Have a through working knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations.
  • Have a working knowledge of Export Control regulations.
  • Have background in Services Subcontracts and Materials Purchases.
  • Ability to assess, interpret and apply company, government and industry policy, procedure regulations, standards, specifications, and handbooks to the unique requirements of tasking.
  • Thorough understanding and administration of firm fixed, cost type and time-based contract types.
  • Possess excellent MS Office suite skills with an emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
