Position Summary:
Assembler 1 is responsible for the assembly and test of products per the written procedure and quality systems requirements
Position Responsibilities:
Perform bench assembly, testing and packing on sub or finished unit assemblies according to assembly procedures (i.e. BOM, DHR, Work Instructions, etc.).
Ensure use of most up to date procedures by using ERP system (SAP).
Perform basic troubleshooting on assemblies which does not require a technician.
Complete all appropriate forms and DHRs legibly and correctly for the assemblies they are working on following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Cross train into multiple positions/products as directed by production supervisor
Perform other tasks as assigned by Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor
Adhere to the Quality System.
Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in their work.
Apply continuous improvement thinking by suggesting improvements for their work areas and job functions to reduce costs and lead time.
Follow standard work (manufacturing procedures) as written.

Essential competencies:
Education and prior work experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Requirements for this position include 0-1 years manufacturing assembly experience
Prior experience in a medical device company a plus
Skills and abilities:
Fluent in English (both written and oral)
Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Bill of Materials
Basic Computer skills
0-1 years' experience working with SAP
Physical demands and work environment:
Physical Demands: Up to 30 lbs. lifting
Ability to sit and/or stand throughout the workday.
