**Summary**
The **Estimator** coordinates and participates in compiling all necessary data and information for project costs including materials, labor, scope of work etc.

Our client is a Mid-size General Contractor that has built in Florida and throughout the country for over 40 years with a very successful track record
**Description**
* Scope each plan out to identify the trades and materials that will be involved in each bid and then become the schedule of values for the contract
* Maintain communication with architect, owner and/or representative throughout the bid process to clarify scope of work to include and for relationship building
* Prepare a tracking sheet to identify all subcontractors that will provide an estimate
* Develop a scope of work for each trade and update prior to turnover to PM
* Maintain communication with the subcontractors throughout the bid process and respond to their inquiry as soon as possible
* Prepare RFI's for any question that may arise throughout the bid process
* Schedule site visits whenever possible
* Review historical data on project if available
* Review plans for value-engineering and provide alternates whenever possible
* Qualify all incoming bids and identify shortcomings as soon as possible after receipt
* Provide miscellaneous take-offs when bids are missing prior to proposal submission
* Organize and distribute revision and bid extension notices as expeditiously as possible
* Maintain control of plans received (bid sets and revisions) so that the date on the contract accurately reflects plans priced
* Sub bids in their appropriate locations, including phone bids
* Prepare Contract Proposal, or required bid forms and review with Chief Estimator
**Profile**
* 4 year degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, etc.)
