We are seeking dedicated part-time instructors committed to fostering student success and engagement in our Engineering and Math Sciences program across multiple campuses, including Philadelphia and Harrisburg. The ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching first-generation students, a student-centered approach, and expertise in supporting students who may struggle with Math and Physics concepts. Additionally, candidates should be adept at offering skills-based learning opportunities and hands-on experiences in the classroom. This position will support and contribute to multiple Programs at our University.


Key Responsibilities:

Create inclusive and supportive learning environments tailored to the needs of first-generation students and learners with varying mathematical and scientific backgrounds.

Deliver engaging and interactive instruction in Physics and Applied Mathematics courses (including Statistics, Calculus and Differential Equations) and courses including computational skills including Python, MATLAB, R and Tableau.

Implement innovative teaching strategies that emphasize skills-based learning, problem-solving, and real-world applications.

Provide individualized support and guidance to students to enhance their understanding and mastery of course content.

Design and facilitate hands-on activities, labs, and projects that promote experiential learning and critical thinking skills.

Foster a collaborative and student-centered classroom culture that encourages participation, teamwork, and active learning.

Assess student progress through a variety of methods and provide constructive feedback to support student growth and development.

Predictive Modeling

Advanced Analytics & reporting (Risk Analysis)

University Physics I & II

Engineering Mechanics: Statics

Engineering Mechanics: Dynamics


Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).

Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level, with a focus on supporting diverse student populations.

Strong understanding of pedagogical approaches that promote student engagement, retention, and success.

Ability to create inclusive and equitable learning environments that value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

Proficiency in designing and implementing hands-on learning experiences and skills-based assessments.

Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
