Our General Utilities are responsible for dust control and sanitation services for the Packaging department.Duties and Responsibilities:* Maintains cleaning and sanitation documentation using the Master Sanitation Schedule* Assist with cleaning during press and packaging preventive maintenance when equipment is down and available* Assists with removal of trash and product waste totes* Assists with safety and food safety audit corrective actions* Assists in monitoring infeed and outfeed systems for sources of product defect or contamination* Assist Silo Operators with daily cleaning duties when necessary* Aid in planning and executing long term cleaning projects* Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of: safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation* Other duties, as assignedEducation and Experience Required:* Must be at least 18 years of age* Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtimePreferred Education, Experience, and Skills:* High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution* Previous janitorial/sanitation experience* Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred* Demonstrated ability to follow basic instructions* Ability to work independently and in a team environmentPhysical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:Must be able to sit 3+ hours per shift* Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and stoop for 6+ hours per shift* Must be able to reach above shoulders for 6+ hours per shift* Must be able to climb on and off a ladder for 6+ hours per shift* Must be able to work in confined spaces for 3+ hours per shift* Must be able to balance, stand, and walk for 8+ hours per shift* Must be able to work in a dusty environment for 8+ hours per shift* Must be able to work in high heat/humidity for 8+ hours per shift* Must be able to grasp for 8+ hours per shift* Must be able to push and pull for 6+ hours per shift* Must be able to feel and use fine motor skills for 3+ hours per shift* Must be able to lift up-to 34 pounds for 8+ hours per shift* Must be able to lift 35 - 50 pounds for 6+ hours per shift* Must be able to lift over 50 pounds for 3+ hours with team assistance or mechanical lifting devices* Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written word* Must be able to make fine distinctions by sound* Must be able to distinguish object or equipment visually
