Job Details

Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure, is seekinga mid-levelCivil CAD Designerto join our company. TheCivil CAD Designerwill assist in the production of civil engineering documents for construction and/or permitting for a variety of water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure projects. Additional responsibilities may include surveying, drone support/piloting, construction inspection, manhole inspections and producing 3D renderings for proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in preparing civil engineering construction and permitting drawings for a variety of water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in the use of Civil 3D, i.e., creating alignments, surfaces, grading, gravity and/or pressure networks, corridors, and quantity takeoffs
  • Ability to perform field related tasks, i.e., small topographic surveys utilizing GPS, Lieca TS12 Robotic Total Station, auto level and/or drone and the ability to post process the field data for plan production, construction inspection, manhole inspections

  • Professional exposure to surveying principles and practices

Experience

  • 3-6 years' experience as a Civil CAD Designer required
  • Experience in ArcGIS and/or Microstation is a plus
  • Use of drones and related software for mapping/surveying purposes is a plus
  • Knowledgeable in the use of InfraWorks, SketchUp, and 3Ds max to create material for proposals is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate lifting and physical activity may be required for this position as part of occasional fieldwork

Certifications

  • OSHA10 and Confined Space Training considered a plus
  • Part 107 Remote Pilot considered a plus

Education

  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
