Role Description
This is a full-time Associate Attorney role, based in the firm's Covington office, though the firm offers the opportunity for some remote work as well. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing support in a variety of legal areas, but the position will be primarily litigation focused. Duties will include legal research, drafting and responding to discovery, and preparation of legal briefs. The Associate Attorney will work closely with our partners to provide outstanding legal services to our clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and admission to the State Bar of Louisiana
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in law firm or other legal setting with experience in litigation and/or transactional practice areas
- Demonstrated ability to conduct legal research and analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and legal software.
