The JRT agency is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Developer to join our dynamic marketing firm. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, managing and maintaining advanced database systems that enhance our clients' marketing strategies and support multi-million-dollar transactions.
Your primary responsibilities include collaborating with account and web development teams to create innovative data solutions that enhance our clients' marketing strategies. Your work will power client programs and ultimately help to facilitate millions of dollars in transactional work. And you ll do it all with an exceptional, cross-functional agency team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable SQL databases.
- Write and optimize in-application SQL statements as part of a collaborative team.
- Ensure performance, security and availability of databases.
- Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak, as necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to understand and address data requirements.
- Implement automated processes for data handling and quality assurance to enhance system efficiency and accuracy.
- Keep abreast of developments in database engineering and recommend new technologies and techniques to maintain industry-leading practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in database development, preferably within a marketing agency or related industry.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, including hands-on experience with schema design, developing stored procedures and query optimization.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and R for data analysis and manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.

Work Environment:
Office setting, currently three days onsite (T-W-Th) and two days WFH (M, F); adjusted as necessary to complete work assignments.
